2011 Flaccianello de La Pieve is the result of a selection of the finest Sangiovese grapes wich come from the best vineyars of Fontodi and are grown with only natural methods. The vineyards are located at 'Conca de'Oro' of Panzano, a magnificent natural anphitheater blessed with a unique microclimate and dominated by thousand year oldf Parish Church of San Leolino a Flacciano. Ageing takes place for 18 months in barriques of Allier and Troncais, followed by and appropriate rest in the bottle.

Flaccianello combines all the wild and old-world characteristics of the Sangiovese grape with the modern vinification techniques of what may be the top winemaking house in Tuscany today.
